Terms
There are two terms in each academic year : -

· First Term 16th Aug. to 14th Dec.
· Winter Vacation 15th Dec. to 31st Dec.


· Second Term 1st Jan. to 15th June.
· Summer Vacation 16th June to 15th Aug.

College calendar showing the schedule of activities and holidays is sent to the parents/guardians at the beginning of each term .



System of Examination

Regular fortnightly monthly tests, in addition to Mid-Term and Term Examinations are held to watch the progress of each student. Progress reports are regularly sent to the parents. A comprehensive report on overall progress of the cadets is sent to the parents at the end of each academic year .

PAKISTAN STEEL CADET COLLEGE

Located at the scenic Steel Town, some 40 kilometers east of the metropolis-Karachi is Pakistan Steel Cadet College. It was established in 1982, to offer an opportunity to the capable children of the country to receive high quality education and training. The college is a residential institution having a capacity to house 500 cadets. The college administration makes every effort possible, to produce young men having capability to enter life with confidence, courage and sense of responsibility.

Academics is the area in which the college distinguishes itself the most. Their job being, to teach and take care of haracter building of the cadets, highly qualified and experienced faculty members spend maximum time with the students as mentors. The college combines the cultural and intellectual legacies of the past with a pragmatic concern for meeting the hallenges of the present and the future. The major objective is to provide individuals with the educational foundation necessary to meet the demands of contemporary society. The institution’s aim is to prepare individuals for life and work by teaching and counseling in a variety of skills and ways that can be applied in almost all occupational settings. It helps, enable the individual to pursue defined career goals within the desired contexts. This system, combined with purposely kept small classes, provides students with personalized attention and close interaction and encourages both academic growth and personal development.

Equal emphasis is laid on co-curricular activities, physical training and sports. The college is committed to the idea that the prescribed processes, methods, experiences and skills can be acquired by individuals in a variety of ways, in numerous fields of study, and at varying times in their academic lives.

The College, with its planned buildings, equipped laboratories rich library and comfortable hostels amidst the lovely surroundings of Steel Town, is an ideal place for budding young minds to streamline their abilities during the essential formative years of their lives..

The College has the recognition of the Directorate of Education Karachi, and is affiliated with Karachi Boards of Secondary and Intermediate Education. The college has to its honour the recognition of GHQ as well.

The College has a distinction of having been ISO 9001 : 2000 and SA8000 certified vide Certificate QBE 03025 by SGS International Certification services EESV .
